Animal Asanas:
Kids yoga classes incorporate fun and imaginative animal-inspired poses like downward dog, cobra, cat-cow, and butterfly. These poses not only encourage flexibility and strength but also spark creativity and engage children's imaginations as they embody different animals.
Mindful Movement and Breathing:
Children learn the importance of mindful movement and deep breathing techniques through playful activities and games. They explore how to connect their breath with movement, promoting focus, self-awareness, and emotional regulation in a fun and accessible way.
Storytime Stretch:
Kids yoga often includes storytelling intertwined with yoga poses. Children follow along with the narrative, acting out characters and scenes through corresponding poses. This integration of storytelling and movement enhances listening skills, comprehension, and encourages a love for both literature and physical activity.
Relaxation and Mindfulness:
Each session ends with relaxation and mindfulness exercises tailored to children's needs. These may include guided visualizations, gentle stretches, and calming breathing techniques. By learning to unwind and center themselves, children develop valuable tools for managing stress, improving sleep, and fostering overall well-being from an early age.

As 200HR kids yoga teacher Stephanie understands the importance of nurturing both the energetic and calm aspects of young children. Their classes go beyond just being captivating and fun; they offer numerous benefits that support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their students. Integrating dance, yoga, breath-work, and music, the children are engaged through out the entire class.
With collaborations with local daycares and school programs such as Create & Discover, the YMCA, and Haverhill Public Schools, their program has been enthusiastically received and she has been welcomed back again and again!
